What is nekotopia.io?

neko (猫) is Japanese for cat. However, the reason for the nekotopia name is not from a life-defining moment. In fact, nekotopia is nekonomicon, H.P. Lovecraft's fictional Necronomicon. The aforementioned book contains fictional forbidden knowledge, whereas the Nekonomicon was an internal knowledge repository in Silicon Graphics containing unpublished and useful technical information.

Nekotopia contains no such forbidden knowledge. Our ambition is to create a platform for like-minded enthusiasts to share their knowledge and systems with friends and the wider community.
