Basic — Mesh Only

Best for: Sharing with friends, private services, retro gaming LANs

Basic accounts connect to the Torus mesh only. Your services are reachable by other members at your private IP address. You can reach other members' services. No internet access through the VPN.

Use cases:

  • Vintage computer file sharing
  • Private game servers for the community
  • Accessing other members' shared services
  • Testing and experimentation

Plus — Mesh + Internet

Best for: Devices that need internet access.

Plus accounts get everything in Basic, plus an outbound internet access through a shared IP address from a regional hub. Your internet traffic appears to originate from our infrastructure.

Use cases:

  • Devices that need both Torus and internet access
  • Bypassing restrictive networks
  • Privacy-conscious browsing

Note: Plus accounts share public IPs. Not suitable for services that need inbound access frmo the public internet.

Pro — Full Public Presence

Best for: Hosting public services, running servers accessible from the internet

Pro accounts get a dedicated public IPv4 address. This IP is mapped 1:1 to your Torus address, meaning:

  • Inbound connections from the internet reach your services
  • Outbound traffic has a consistent, dedicated source IP
  • You can run public websites, game servers, or any internet-facing service
  • Other Torus members can still reach you via your private IP

Use cases:

  • Web servers (HTTP/HTTPS)
  • Game servers
  • SSH access points
  • Any internet-facing service

Fair Usage

All tiers are subject to fair usage. Sustained bandwidth consumption exceeding 1TB/month may be subject to review. Commercial or resale usage requires a separate agreement.

Custom bandwidth rates may be available at the admin's discretion for special projects.
